Natalie Portman’s line of vegan shoes is no more, now that parent company Té Casan has gone out of business. While the vegetarian actress’ collection—which retailed for some $200 per pair—was lauded by animal-rights activists, dogs have greeted the closure with relief.

“Portman certainly created some exquisite designs—the closed-toe red stiletto was truly elegant—but those things tasted like utter crap,” stated Bel Air resident Bam Bam, almost 1, to Soup Blog reporters. “Give me a good Jimmy Choo suede wedge sandal, a tall Manolo Blahnik pony-hair boot, even a Skechers leather mule clog, something with high-quality dead skin I can really sink my teeth into. But gnawing on one of those vegan atrocities? It’s like…horrid, anyone?”
