The Soup's Top 12 of 2012: The Apopalypse
The end of the year is a time for reflection, family, and making lists of things that happened in the last 12 months. Since we usually pass over those first two, we decided to really take the list thing seriously.
As such, we're going through the 12 most popular posts on TheSoupTV.com this year. Mind you, they're not the "best" posts, just the ones you crazy people clicked on the most. We love you, but we will never understand you.
#10: The Apopalypse
Which song is more maddeningly infectious: Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe" or Psy's "Gangnam Style"? Trick question. It's this weapons-grade combination of the two, deviously grafted together, that'll have you wide awake and humming angrily, well into the small hours of the night.
This may be the genesis of the first true supergroup of the new millennium…or…well…I think I'll go give the Book of Revelation a quick skim, just to make sure it doesn't mention anything about this.
NOTE FROM THE EDITORS: Peanut butter and mayonnaise! Chocolate and organ meats! "Call Me Maybe" and "Gangnam Style!" What do these delectable combinations have in common? They were all WAY overused in 2012.
